It is with deep regret that we must advise of the untimely passing of David de Eyre, President of Clift's Marine Sales, who passed away on Tuesday, November 20. Dave was an instrumental figure not only in the marine industry, but also with the numerous other organizations that he was involved with.
Dave was a very active community leader, a member of the Southside Shuffle Blues and Jazz Festival Board of Directors and he was also a past Chairman of the Port Credit BIA Board of Directors. In addition, Dave was also instrumental in the formation of the Ontario Yacht Brokers Association and was also actively involved with several other organizations.
Despite this tragic loss, Clift's Marine Sales will continue to move forward. With the full support of Dave's family, Mike Burns, General Manager for Clift's Marine, will assume responsibility for all business matters related to the company. Mr. Burns is committed to maintaining company operations in a manner that Mr. de Eyre would support.
We have received many notes and words of condolences, and we would like to express our sincere thanks to friends, family, and business associates who have shown their gracious support through this difficult time.
